A tribute to the United States Marine Corps., and their elite
Special Operations Forces. Those who perform demanding, hazardous
military missions into hostile regions of the world in defense of
America, her citizens and interests. Those who preserve our
freedoms.
a special thanks to Sgt. Sean Healy, U.S.M.C., who so graciously
advised me in my endeavors to present this figure authentically.
His guidance is greatly appreciated. My thanks to Staff Sgt. Tim
White as well. These brave marines asked that they be given the
"honor" of naming this piece. They chose Freedom.
The M16 short barreled rifle, the Berretta side arm, knife, water
bottle, flashlight and his radios are all sculpted from polymer
clay. The radios have real electrical wiring. He is fully dressed
for a covert mission, including, stockings, jersey camouflage
T-shirt and boxer briefs. His outer clothing and fanny pack are
constructed from military camouflage uniforms, exactly as those worn
by our brave soldiers. His body harness is constructed of
lightweight military green synthetic fabric and military belt
webbing. His boots, side arm holster, knife scabbard and ammunition
pouch are leather. His throat radio is copied from provided
photographs, with close attention from Sgt. Healy. His stand is
constructed of wood over which layer after layer of fine blasting
sand was glued.
Consultants: Sgt. Sean Healy, U.S.M.C., and Staff Sgt. Tim. White,
U. S. M. C..
